Related shows Dancing with the Stars

Skating with the Stars was an American reality TV show. The show featured celebrities paired with professionals from the world of figure skating. The show was based on the British show, Dancing on Ice. The show had a schedule similar to the first season of Dancing with the Stars with performance shows on Monday nights. On week 2, the pair with the lowest combined judges points and viewer votes were eliminated at the end of the show. All six episodes of the show were broadcast.[2][3][4][5][6] The host is Vernon Kay and doing color commentary is retired Ice Dancer Tanith Belbin. The judges were Johnny Weir, Dick Button and Laurie Ann Gibson.[7]

The show was broadcast on ABC in the United States. Season one concluded on December 21, 2010. It was announced that the show would not return for a second season on January 10, 2011.[1]

Skating with the Stars was considered a flop by most ratings' pundits, noting that the ratings showed a steady decline from week 1 through week 6.
